I always grew up as a musical person - my dad is in a band, and
for as long as I can remember he fostered my connection to
music through instruments, vinyl records, and sheet music. These
music-related memories and experiences led me to combine
this foundation with my design practice, culminating in a project
I would be proud to make.
The Shape of Sound is an exploration of the intersection
between music and design, informed by the incorporation of my
unique personal experiences. Through the use of interactive 3D
modeling, music production, and programming tools, this project
bridges the gap between sound and visual form, creating a new
language for experiencing music.
A key component of this work is the integration of user
interaction and connection. I invite and encourage viewers to
connect their own experiences and engage with my designs.
That mission is supported by interactivity and tangible media that
explore how music can be imagined through a visual lens.
At its core, The Shape of Sound is about more than just
music and aesthetics - it’s about connection. This work is meant
to find ways to visually represent the personal and universal
experiences that music creates in all of us.
