DIRECTOR’S STATEMENT

It is my pleasure to introduce the Boston University School
of Visual Arts 2025 Bachelor of Fine Arts Thesis Catalog.
This publication features the work of 68 graduating students
across the BFA programs in Graphic Design, Painting,
Sculpture, and the BA in Art. Representing the culmination
of four years of dedicated study, this catalog showcases
not only the development of technical skill and conceptual
depth, but also the cultivation of an artistic community.
This community is grounded in the courage to take
risks and the vulnerability inherent in creative expression.
The ties that bind these students are the threads of content,
material, and form—woven together through a multidisciplinary
discourse that spans their diverse practices. The 2025
BFA Thesis Exhibition brings these artists and designers into
one space: the 808 Gallery. Here, individual voices converge
to create a collective tapestry—a vibrant and layered
expression of their efforts, identities, and ideas.
Each piece stands as a testament to the artist’s
unique perspective, yet together they form a resonant
whole. This exhibition honors the shared journey of Boston
University School of Visual Arts’ graduating class of 2025.
It is a celebration of interconnected creativity, a weaving of
many threads into one remarkable fabric of possibility.

On behalf of SVA, I am deeply grateful to the BFA
thesis identity team, and to Lecturer Claire Bula for leading
them through her Branding course. Many thanks to Assistant
